

A full theatre for David Walliams
We would like to say a big thank you to David Walliams for a magical story telling on Monday 31st July, at Ark Burlington Danes Academy. David Walliams presented to a full theatre and took the time to meet each child attending and sign books. We would also like to thank Harper-Collins and the Literacy Trust for organising this very special and unique event.


The amazing Vanessa Woolf will be leading storytelling at BDA this Tuesday
We are excited to share Vanessa Woolf a professional storyteller will be visiting Ark Burlington Danes Academy on Tuesday 1st August. Vanessa tells traditional and non-traditional tales of all kinds, and is particularly inspired by the history, geography and folklore of London. Kensington Aldridge Academy new Year 7 students depart for residential at Charterhouse
Today, students from primary schools across West London, who will attend Kensington Aldridge Academy departed for a 3-day 2-night Create Your Future residential at Charterhouse School! They were joined by 5 incredibly inspiring KAA Sixth Formers, who are taking on the role of Peer Mentors. We thank them for volunteering their time, to welcome the new students into their school. An amazing team forms at Burlington Danes!
On Sunday 23rd July, we had an incredible day at Burlington Danes, bringing together our staff and volunteers from City Year, Future Foundations and Place2Be. We were excited to meet our peer mentors and student ambassadors from Kensington Aldridge Academy and Ark Burlington Danes. Thank you to everyone for attending, for your energy and enthusiasm for the next four weeks. We can't wait to get started tomorrow with our first programme at Charterhouse School!


Information events every day for the first week!
Hello, I'm Lina, the Summer Programme Director. I am based at Burlington Danes Academy all Summer. For the first week of the Summer holidays, I will be holding a daily information session at 11am for one hour. This will be an opportunity for parents and students aged 7 to 17, to meet me, find out about all the FREE Summer programmes and events we are running and sign up to those that are most suitable for you. I will have refreshments available, and can't wait to meet you. Cl


Our staff & volunteer training is this Sunday!
On Sunday 23rd July 2017, at Burlington Danes Academy our staff and volunteers will meet for a site induction and programme training. We will have representatives from: Place2Be, City Year and Future Foundations. We are very excited that students from Kensington Aldridge Academy and Ark Burlington Danes will also join us. Our KAA students will be peer mentors on our new Year 7 residential programmes at Charterhouse. Our BDA students will be ambassadors throughout the Summer
